The Interfaith/Ecumenical Movement
Most wars are normally fought over religion so man's natural solution is to unite all religions and then there will be peace in this world. The Interfaith movement we see today is the precursor to Satan's one world religion. This is the religion the False Prophet initially will be in charge of.
We are used to hearing the words " many paths lead to God" and that Jesus is only one of those routes. Satan is such a deceiver - all in the name of tolerance and mutual understanding. Forget about our doctrinal differences and lets focus on the things we agree on. Do it with christian love, reducing our faith to the lowest common denominator all to achieve religious unity and ultimately peace and just ignore what Jesus said.
Matthew 10:34-39 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it."
Jesus said that the sword would be the gospel and that division would happen due to proclaiming the truth in the gospel and that his Kingdom was "not of this world".
This is just setting the foundation for the real mandatory world wide program. At that point everyone will be brainwashed into believing that a interfaith solution is the only answer for world peace.
Promoters of Interfaith believe that true Christianity is an extreme religion as it clams that the only way to God is through His Son Jesus Christ. In their eyes Fundalmentalist Christianity will have to be watered down if it wants to modify all religions. more here on Interfaith Guidelines
The Parliament of Religions
"Make a world of difference, Hearing each other, Healing the earth"
The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions suggests that the Melbourne Parliament will "educate participants for global peace and justice" through exploring religious conflict and globalization, creating community and cross-cultural networks and addressing issues of religious violence. It suggests it will support "strengthening religious and spiritual communities" by providing a special focus on indigenous and Aboriginal spiritualities; facilitating cooperation between Pagan, Jewish, Christian, Bahai, Jain, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh and Hindu communities; crafting new responses to religious extremism; and confronting homegrown terrorism and violence
The History of the Parliament of Religions

The Tony Blair Faith Foundation
designed to fulfill the United Nations’ Millennium Goals
"The Tony Blair Faith Foundation aims to promote respect and understanding about the world's major religions and show how faith is a powerful force for good in the modern world.
Faith is vitally important to hundreds of millions of people. It underpins systems of thought and of behaviour. It underpins many of the world's great movements for change or reform, including many charities. And the values of respect, justice and compassion that our great religions share have never been more relevant or important to bring people together to build a better world.
But religious faith can also be used to divide. We have seen throughout history and today we still see how it can be distorted to fan the flames of hatred and extremism.
The Tony Blair Faith Foundation is a response to these opportunities and challenges. We will use the full power of modern communications to support and step up efforts at every level to educate, inform and develop understanding about the different faiths and between them.
At the same time, the Foundation will use its profile and resources to encourage people of faith to work together more closely to tackle global poverty and conflict. By supporting such inter-faith initiatives, the Foundation will help underline the religion's relevance and positive contribution."

Rick Warren's Global P.E.A.C.E. Plan
According to Rick Warren God’s timetable for history’s conclusion IS connected to the completion of our commission. Hence, the WHATEVER IT TAKES to bring on the Second Coming of Christ was launched—a.k.a., THE GLOBAL P.E.A.C.E. plan.
Rick Warren believes and teaches that the Second Coming cannot happen until humankind rids itself of social evils by human effort and its through his peace plan that this will be achieved.
Universal Peace Federation
This is a UN based organisation and its aims are:
1. Creating an interreligious council as a forum for spiritual values.
2. Strengthening the family as the "school of love."
3. Creating a culture of service through peace education.
"The Global Peace Festival is rooted in time-enduring principles, values, and aspirations. It is inspiring peace throughout the world centered on the unifying vision of One Family under God.
Family. God wanted His children to establish a true family which could be the school of true love, true life, and true lineage where He could dwell as the eternal true parent of all mankind. The family is the cornerstone of peace. Regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality and religion we are all members of families. We use familial terms to describe the closeness of any relationship saying, “that person is like my father, my mother, my brother, my sister, my son, or my daughter.” Therefore, the family should be the school of love where we learn to love all humanity in its richness and diversity.
Interfaith. Peace among faith traditions cannot come about through mere dialogue or through “tolerating” one another's prayers and rituals. A true interfaith experience is a celebration of the core principles, values, and aspirations that bind all people together as one family. Before we call ourselves Christian or Muslim, Catholic or Protestant, Buddhist or Hindu; before we see ourselves as black, white, or yellow, or identify ourselves as American, Korean, or Filipino, we are all the sons and daughters of God and members of His eternal family.
Culture of service. There is something deeply spiritual in serving others. It needs to become a way of life. The Global Peace Festival is promoting a spirit of volunteerism and peaceful cooperation around the world. Communities and nations are being transformed through our efforts to build a culture of service rooted in the peace philosophy of “living for the sake of others.”"

The Jerusalem Peace Academy
Jerusalem, the Holy City and Center from which knowledge of the one God spread throughout the world; the city of the prophets and kings – David, Solomon, Jesus, Mohammed; the city where Judaism, Christianity and Islam come together in reverence for God, as the Qur’an states, is not only the heart of the Jewish nation and one of the three most holy sites for the Muslim world, but moreover the central focus of global awareness and interest. A solution cannot be found on grounds of thinking in terms of
one-sided, partial claims of “possession” and sovereignty, but only from a perspective, which is transcending our transient petty human interests in the awareness of the eternal and universal Lordship of God.
But also as facts of realities, we need to clearly take into consideration the needed natural conditions for co-existence and good livelihood of its residents as well as the unbiased interests of the different religious, national and international stakeholders as to be seen on the grounds of universal principles and human rights.
From this point of view we can pose old questions in a new light. In doing so, we can ask: who owns Jerusalem? Then our reply will simply be: God.
Who should govern Jerusalem? The reply is: The (universal-minded, spiritually emancipated) leaders of the three religions for which it is holy! …
How might that governance work out in practice?
Firstly, Jerusalem, God’s city, will be a separate entity, a ‘corpus separatum’, like the Vatican City, which is surrounded by Rome, but is itself a separate unity.
Secondly, Jerusalem administration will be run by an administrator appointed by the religious leaders of the three religions (henceforth called the Judeo-Christian-Islamic Council). The administrator will consult with the Judeo-Christian-Islamic Council on all subjects: tax rates, building projects, citizenship for non-Israeli or non-Palestinian religious peoples, the use of tax revenues, maintaining the mosques and their schools, the churches and their schools, and the synagogues and their schools.
Thirdly, since the Knesset is located in Jerusalem it will pay property taxes to Jerusalem as it continues to govern Israel. Comparably, the capital building of Palestine will be in Jerusalem, its president will govern Palestine from there, and Palestine will pay property taxes to Jerusalem.
Fourth, the Judeo-Christian-Islamic Council will determine other matters such as making Jerusalem a place of God’s peace with no deadly weapons present, even for crime prevention. Moreover, crime prevention patrols will expel prostitution, obscenity, and immorality while emphasizing modest dress in God’s city.
Fifth, the religious leaders will come to an agreement about rebuilding Solomon’s Temple, which will be located on or near its original site, which is not the site of the Dome of the Rock. Then each of the religions will have a beautiful building on its ancient holy site. Moreover, Solomon’s Temple will symbolize the convergence of the three religions to spread God’s truth around the world.
Sixth, the Judeo-Christian-Islamic Council will consider building a great library in Jerusalem to house the holy writings and scholarship of the three religions, if funds are available.
When the religious leaders govern Jerusalem, then God’s city truly will be a place of God, a light to the nations, and a center from which holiness can radiate to the world and inspire all to live according to God’s law and God’s peace.
Then the three religions will fulfill their prophecies of bringing peace to the earth, and Jerusalem then truly will be the city of righteous peace.
.................We have to see how both parties misuse God and Scripture for their ill-minded claims and games. Both appropriate God for their matter and make Him take sides for their power game.
But God is impartial. There is only one God and we are all created in His image. Both Judaism and Islam make a clear statement about the oneness and incomparable particularity of that one God.
While we say in Hebrew, “Hu echad ve-ayn sheni” – “He, who is one without a second”, Islam exclaims: “Lahh ilaha illah Lahh” – “There is no God, but God.” Call Him Allah or Elohim – He is but one and the same God – and all of us are created in His image and likeness (Bereshit 2. 27), and He is the one ground and goal of all of our lives and the guide and ruler of all pure hearts.
The same is true for His will, his plan and His revelation. He has proclaimed but one goal for creation and that does not exclude anyone – and this goal is peace and welfare for the world and redemption, eternal life and happiness for His creatures. He has given different revelations, but they all substantiate the same universal truth and goal of life for all of His creatures.
Neither have I found any contradiction in the Scriptures, but only mutual confirmation and additions – never ever conflict or struggle. It is even a matter of logic that different revelations which all come from one source need to be as unique and universal as the source itself. They may differ, but not contradict. And as far as they differ they are complementary by nature.
There is no antagonism to be found in God or His will. All His being and volition intends towards unity and completion; it is His nature as an all-perfect Being and this perfection is the goal of all created things, their lives and evolution.
It is one and only one will that wants to rule our hearts, minds and destinies bent towards peace, mutual coexistence, prosperity, wisdom and redemption from any evil inclination.
...............So He has given different revelations to Jews, Christians and Muslims, which are ever complementary, and never in contradiction. As with each people, so each revelation has to fulfill a specific purpose.
In the same way God’s call to and selection of Israel as a chosen people does not imply a preference or favoring of them by God, but a specific task that He has laid on their shoulders, which does not take away from any other nation, nor add to the one who carries it.
...............It is my strong belief that God wants the latter. And an agreement to give Jerusalem to God to be governed by the religious leaders of the three Abrahamic religions would certainly be a first step in establishing good relations among cousins. Jerusalem will be the capital of Palestine and the capital of Israel, but will belong to neither but rather to God. more

The King Abdullah Interfaith Initiative
Interfaith became the buzzword of 2008 thanks to three historic initiatives by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah. It all began on June 4, 2008, when 500 Muslims from around the world gathered at the king’s invitation in the holy city of Mecca. The aim was to set an agenda for the building of better relations between Muslims and peoples of other faiths. In his opening address, the king stressed the need for better communication and understanding between Islam, Judaism and Christianity — the three monotheistic religions all with their roots in the Middle East. To drive his point home, he urged Muslims to live according to the tolerance recommended in Chapter 16, Verse 125 of the Holy Qur’an: “Invite to the Way of the Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching.”
King Abdullah also emphasized the importance of the task at hand. “From the vicinity of the Holy Mosque of Mecca, we begin, with the will of Allah, and from here we will move in our dialogue with the others in confidence derived from our faith in Allah, and then from knowledge sought from our tolerant religion,” the king said. “We will argue in ways that are best; what we agree upon we accept in our hearts, and what we disagree about we refer to the sublime, saying ‘Lakum Deenakum Waliya Deen’ (To you, be your way and to me, mine).”
The diversity of clerics and other delegates in Madrid was nothing short of remarkable. In addition to those from every corner of the Muslim world, there were a number of bishops, priests, theologians and lay people from all Christian denominations in all parts of the world plus a veritable phalanx of rabbis — European, American and Israeli — not to mention Hindu priests and Buddhist monks.
Long after 2008 is over, King Abdullah’s words will echo in the world’s palaces and parliaments as well as in the remotest of corners and humblest of buildings: “The time has come for us to learn lessons from the ruthless past and unite together on moral values and lofty examples that we all believe in ... We can leave our differences for God to make His judgment on the Day of Judgment.” source

Christian doctrine is offensive to Muslims, the Archbishop of Canterbury said yesterday.
Dr Rowan Williams also criticised Christianity's history for its violence, its use of harsh punishments and its betrayal of its peaceful principles.
His comments came in a highly conciliatory letter to Islamic leaders calling for an alliance between the two faiths for 'the common good'. source

Bush: All religions pray to 'same God'
"Well, first of all, I believe in an Almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe. I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace. And I believe people who murder the innocent to achieve political objectives aren't religious people, whether they be a Christian who does that – we had a person blow up our – blow up a federal building in Oklahoma City who professed to be a Christian, but that's not a Christian act to kill innocent people.
"And I just simply don't subscribe to the idea that murdering innocent men, women and children – particularly Muslim men, women and children in the Middle East – is an act of somebody who is a religious person. source
Chanting crosses all the lines of faith
"Chanting crosses all the lines of faith," Davidson said. "Many cultures have chanting, but as a society, we just don't gather in song very much. Our society doesn't have a common song other than `Happy Birthday' or maybe the national anthem. But we can chant together. It's something that's traditional, that helps us center and discover our inner selves."
The event is a departure from the usual World Day of Prayer services. Church Women United, an ecumenical Christian organization, sets aside the first Friday in March as a day for Protestants, Catholics and other Christians to pray together. source

Vatican-Islamic dialogue committee affirms need to promote peace, guard against fanaticism
A joint Catholic-Muslim committee, meeting at the Vatican this week, concluded with a joint statement affirming the duty of all religious leaders to promote peace and to ensure that young believers are "protected from fanaticism and violence." The committee, convened by the Vatican and the leaders of Al Azhar University in Cairo, said that peace is "a gift from God and, at the same time, the fruit of human endeavor," which must be promoted by religious preaching and teaching. The committee's sessions were co-chaired by Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, the president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, and by Sheikh Ali Abd al-Baqi Shahata, secretary general of the Academy for Islamic Research at al-Azhar. source
U.N. interfaith council urged
The World Conference on Dialogue opened by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah in Madrid on Wednesday gathered momentum yesterday with a call from the former speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives, Congressman Jose de Venecia Jr., for an interfaith dialogue council to be set up as a formal UN body.
He presented a draft resolution calling on the conference to petition King Abdullah, King Juan Carlos of Spain and Spanish Premier Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero to organize a joint Saudi-Spanish request to the UN for an Interfaith Council to promote and oversee “all global, regional and local interfaith dialogues among the great religions, civilizations, cultures, governments… to help resolve politico-religious, sectarian and ethnic conflicts and tensions in various parts of the world.”
Venecia: "One of the great missions of Rev. Moon is to see how we can bring about a unification of the great religions of the world…and under the leadership of Rev. Moon - I had the privilege to present to the Security Council last year – a resolution for a dialogue among civilizations, among religions, among cultures, for an interfaith dialogue and I am happy to report to you that the following month, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously approved our resolution calling for an interfaith dialogue among the great religions of the world.
A U.N. interfaith council could be set up relatively easily, Jose De Venecia, ex-speaker of the Philippines Legislature, told a peace conference in New York.
"The name of the Trusteeship Council could be changed to the Interfaith Council of the U.N.," he said Saturday. He explained that this would require neither a change in the U.N. Charter nor new appropriations. The Trusteeship Council no longer has an active function.
He spoke to international participants from more than 130 countries at the Universal Peace Federation's World Summit on Peace 2009.
"Renewal and reform of the U.N., including a religious council, is timely at this critical moment," said Dr. Alwi Shihab, Indonesia's special envoy to the Middle East. "The U.N. Security Council has demonstrated its failure to stop the violence" in Gaza, he added.
Hyun-jin Moon, co-chairman of the federation, said the organization had two challenges for the United Nations: first to establish the interfaith council, and second "to recognize God as the origin of human rights" in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
