THE BIBLE AND IT'S DOCTRINE
I believe the Holy Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired, and without error; that the Holy Scriptures contains the infallible rules of faith and practice for all who would profess belief in Jesus Christ. I am committed to teaching the simple, powerful, and living Word of God so that we may grow in our understanding of God, and His plan for our lives. I believe obedience to God’s word is the most important part of our worship of God.
THE NATURE OF GOD
I believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Who are equal in power and glory. I believe the triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.
GOD THE FATHER
I believe in God the Father, infinite and personal, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
JESUS CHRIST
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son. I believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born by virgin birth. I believe in His sinless life, miracles and teachings; His substitutionary, atoning death; bodily resurrection; ascension into Heaven; I believe that He is one and the same as God.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
I believe in the Holy Spirit, Who is sent by the Father to convict the world of sin in righteous judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. I believethe Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ when they are born again. When the believer is born again, they are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ, and are sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide in the life of the believer.
I believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of church and the believer. I believe Jesus Christ promised to baptize the believer with the Holy Spirit to give them power to be witnesses for Jesus Christ. I believe the “Gifts of the Holy Spirit” are designed by God for the spiritual growth of the church, and all of the gifts described in Scripture are relevant for our present time.
MANKIND, SIN, AND SALVATION
In obedience to the “Great Commission” of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18), we are committed to teach and preach the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to all who will listen, and inevery place where we are given opportunity.
I believe that all mankind is fallen because of sin and rebellion against God alone. The just penalty for sin is death, but salvation is available through Jesus Christ alone.
We hold firmly to the Biblical teaching of both God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility in the matter of salvation. I desire to avoid any theological systems of belief which go beyond the written Word, divide the body of Christ, or cause unnecessary confusion for the Christian or unbeliever.
It is our aim to teach mankind’s need for salvation through the complete work of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and to invite all to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation.
I believe the Scriptures declare that a person must believe the Gospel to be born again (John 1:12-13); a believer is elected by God in accordance with their faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17); Jesus Christ died for all the lost (1 John 2:2); God truly offers salvation to everyone who chooses to believe i n
Jesus Christ, and those who choose unbelief will ultimately be lost and responsible for their own sin (Romans 1:16); the believer, knowing they will receive a reward for their deeds done in the body, should persevere in faith and holiness before God, demonstrating their love for the Lord, and th e
disobedient believer will experience a lack of fellowship with the Lord in this life and a loss of rewards in the life to come (John 15:1-14).
THE CHURCH AND IT’S PRACTICE
I believe in the universal church — the living, spiritual body of believers — of which Jesus Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.
I reject the lordship of the Roman Catholic pope and centrality of the Roman Catholic church.
I do not endorse the World or National Council of Churches, and we reject any international, national, regional or local organizations that give recognition and membership to non-believers or advocate multi-faith union.
We reject unity with any so called “Christian” sect or cult that denies the Deity of Jesus Christ and His Virgin Birth, the Triune Nature of God, Salvation by Grace through Faith, the Reliability and Infallibility of the Scriptures, and the Reality of Heaven and Hell.
I believe the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the church: Water Baptism, and Communion (The Lord's Supper).
I believe in water baptism by immersion, and that a believer should be baptized in obedience to Jesus Christ. According to the Scriptures, we do not believe that water baptism is necessary for salvation, but that it is an outward sign of an inward reality of one's spiritual position in Christ. I do not teach or practice infant baptism, nor do I promote the baptism of unbeliever s
I believe communion is open to all who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, regardless of age, gender or church denomination. We encourage all who partake of communion to examine their hear t
with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, ensuring they are properly discerning the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I believe in the laying on of hands for the appointment of elders, deacons, pastors and missionaries, and in conjunction with anointing of oil by elders for healing of the sick.
We make no distinction concerning an individual’s ethnic background because we acknowledge that there can be no preferential treatment with God.
FUTURE EVENTS
I believe in His Second Coming at the close of the time period called “The Tribulation”, when He will make a personal, visible return to Earth. We believe in the establishment of His Kingdom here on Earth, and His reign on earth during a period of 1,000 years called “the Millennium.”
I believe in the resurrection of the human body. We believe the Christian will be changed from a corruptible body to an incorruptible body, will be raised in glory and power, and will bear the image of the heavenly Man, Jesus Christ.
I believe in the final judgment, where all humanity will stand before God, receiving the just reward for their works on the earth. The righteous believer, having been written in the Book of Life, will be welcomed into Heaven to live and reign with Jesus Christ forever. The wicked unbeliever, not being found in the Book of Life, will be condemned to the eternal judgment and torment of the Second Death,
and will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
The 10 Commandments are found in the Bible's Old Testament at Exodus, Chapter 20. They were given directly by God to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai after He had delivered them from slavery in Egypt:
"And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God…
ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'
TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'
THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'
FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'
FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'
SIX: 'You shall not murder.'
SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'
EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'
NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'
TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'
