Origin of the Crescent and Star
Isaiah 14:12
How (EYK) art thou fallen (NAPHAL) from heaven (MIN) (SHAMAYIM), O Lucifer (HEYLEL),son of the morning! (SHACHAR) art thou cut down (GADA) to the ground (ERETS)which didst weaken (CHALASH) (AL) the nations (GOY)
The name Lucifer in Hebrew is HEYLEL . According to Strong Dictionary it means (brightness); the morning star: lucifer. The word HEYLEL in Hebrew has the same meaning in Arabic. HILAL (Arabic) : is an Arabic term, associated with the crescent moon, first developed in pre- Islamic Arabia.
The phrase in Isaiah 14:12 means the shining/brightness born of the morning/dawn. What is that shining brightness? It could be the rays of the sun but it could also be the day star or morning star, Venus, which is how some translations render it. In Latin, the word "Lucifer", meaning "Light-Bringer" (from lux, lucis, "light", and ferre, "to bear, bring"), is a name for the "Morning Star" (the planet Venus in its dawn appearances).
The Name of the Whore is Heylel Ben Shachar!
Judges 8:21-28
Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, "Rise up yourself, and fall on us; for as the man, so is his strength." So Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescent ornaments which were on their camels' necks
Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, "Rule over us, both you and your son, also your son's son, for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian."
But Gideon said to them, "I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the LORD shall rule over you
Yet Gideon said to them, "I would request of you, that each of you give me an earring from his spoil." (For they had gold earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.) They said, "We will surely give {them.}" So they spread out a garment, and every one of them threw an earring there from his spoil
The weight of the gold earrings that he requested was 1,700 {shekels} of gold, besides the crescent ornaments and the pendants and the purple robes which {were} on the kings of Midian, and besides the neck bands that {were} on their camels' necks.
Gideon made it into an ephod, and placed it in his city, Ophrah, and all Israel played the harlot with it there, so that it became a snare to Gideon and his household So Midian was subdued before the sons of Israel, and they did not lift up their heads anymore. And the land was undisturbed for forty years in the days of Gideon.
The Crescent Moon As the Image of Allah
...................And so having concluded that an emblem or a flag could be what God was intending to warn us about when he spoke about the Image of the Beast, it is essential at this juncture that we point out a very important portion of Scripture with regard to the nature of this final enemy of mankind. The passage is found in Isaiah 14. It is here that we find the story of the sin and the fall of Satan. What we will discover when we analyze the passage a bit closer are some very telling points. The passage reads as follows:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isaiah 14:12-14
It is in this passage that we are given the name that has come down through the ages to signify Satan. It is the name Lucifer. Most of us have heard Satan referred to as Lucifer. In truth, the passage may not so much have been giving us a proper name as it was giving us a description of who Satan really is.
He is described as Son of the Dawn (or Morning). In Hebrew, the words translated are Heylal Ben Shachar. What is even more fascinating however is that the word Heylal, which is translated in the King James as Lucifer is also found in Arabic, having a nearly identical meaning. Most specifically Hilal in Arabic means Crescent Moon. When we put the whole phrase together Heylal Ben Shachar, it simply means Crescent Moon, son of the Morning Star or the Dawn—or in simpler terms, a crescent moon with a star lingering over it. Of course, this has come to be the very symbol of Islam.
Nearly every Islamic flag carries this symbol, as does nearly every mosque brandish this symbol on the pinnacle of its dome and/or its minarets. Consider the implications of this then: the very description that the Bible uses to describe Satan, Islam applies to itself.
According to Islamic tradition, this event occurred on the 27th day of the month of Ramadan. It was then that Muhammad allegedly had his encounter with the “angel” who revealed the Quran. Ramadan is the same month during which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, basing the fasting season on the appearance of the moon. These words, in fact, parallel Scripture regarding Satan (the Dawn) being cast out of heaven, and taking one third of the angels with him.
It may also be interesting to note that the very sin of Lucifer in this passage as defined by the phrase uttered in his heart; “I will ascend… I will be like the Most High”. The word for ascend in Hebrew is Alah, the name used of course by Muslims for God. In the same way that Allah has laid claim to the title of Almighty God of the universe, despite the fact that he is simply an Arabian moon god, so also Lucifer’s desire was and is to be exalted as an equal to God Almighty. And so as if the divine hint found in the word Heylal, meaning both Lucifer and Crescent Moon is not enough, so also in the very same passage—the use of the word Alah for Lucifer’s sin—may indeed be another prophetic hint unveiling the identity of that ancient and very evil being hiding behind the title of Allah.
And so we may very well expect to see the very flag of Islam with the Crescent Moon symbol featuring prominently on it as the very banner of the revived Islamic Beast Empire. Will the final Antichrist Empire march under the flag of Lucifer? This then may be the Image of the Beast. Or perhaps it will simply be the flag that we have seen emblazoned behind Osama Bin Laden when he makes his televised speeches and on all of the pro-Caliphate web-sites. This would be a black or white flag with the Islamic Shahada written across it in Arabic calligraphy. Either flag would fulfill the purpose of a blasphemous emblem or image.

Not surprisingly then, one particular Quranic narrative contains several of the very same elements that we find in the biblical account of the fall of Lucifer or Satan. In the Quranic surah entitled Qadr, (power or fate), we find a passage that speaks directly of the dawn—when the angelic host came down from heaven. Let’s look at the Quranic passage that describes the Night of Vision:
“We have sent it to thee in the Night of Vision, what do you know of this Night of Vision. The Night of Vision is better than a thousand months. The angelic hosts descend [to earth] in it with the Spirit by command of their Lord. Peace shall it be until the rising of the Dawn (Morning star).” —Surah 97:1-5
Paralleling the biblical narrative, we have:
• Angels descending
• The rising of the morning star or the Dawn (Satan or Allah)
• A so-called peace is established from that point onwards

Moon Worship
Archaeologists have excavated numerous statues and hieroglyphic inscriptions in which a crescent moon was seated on the top of the head of the deity to symbolise the worship of the moon-god. Interestingly, whilst the moon was generally worshipped as a female deity in the Ancient Near East, the Southern Arabs viewed it as a male deity. The Arabic word for the moon “qamar'' is of the masculine gender, on the other hand, the Arabic word for sun “shams” is feminine gender.
In Mesopotamia the Sumerian god Nanna was named Sîn by the Akkadians, He was the chief god of the city of Ur, and also in the city of Harran in Syria. Mount Sinai owes its name to Sin.
The Ugaritic texts have shown that there a moon deity was worshipped under the name yrh. On the monuments the god is represented by the symbol of the crescent moon. At Hazor in Palestine a small Canaanite shrine of the late Bronze Age was discovered which contained a basalt stele depicting two hands lifted as if in prayer to a crescent moon, indicating that the shrine was dedicated to the moon god.
"Sin.—The moon-god occupied the chief place in the astral triad. Its other two members, Shamash the sun and Ishtar the planet Venus, were his children. Thus it was, in effect, from the night that light had emerged....In his physical aspect Sin—who was venerated at Ur under the name of Nannar—was an old man with along beard the color of lapis-lazuli. He normally wore a turban. Every evening he got into his barque—which to mortals appeared in the form of a brilliant crescent moon—and navigated the vast spaces of the nocturnal sky. Some people, however, believed that the luminous crescent was Sin’s weapon. But one day the crescent gave way to a disk which stood out in the sky like a gleaming crown. There could be no doubt that this was the god’s own crown; and then Sin was called "Lord of the Diadem". These successive and regular transformations lent Sin a certain mystery. For this reason he was considered to be ‘He whose deep heart no god can penetrate’... Sin was also full of wisdom. At the end of every month the gods came to consult them and he made decisions for them...His wife was Ningal, ‘the great Lady’. He was the father not only of Shamash and Ishtar but also of a son Nusku, the god fire." (Larousse Encyclopedia of Mythology, 1960, p 54-56)
"Sin's supreme character passed in later times to his female counterpart, who finally replaced him. When the female aspect of the lunar deity came to displace the male, the wife of the moon-god became identified with the moon itself, while the goddess Ishtar maintained her association with the planet Venus. This identification is symbolically represented by the lunar crescent, enclosing the star within its horns, which is still the crest of Islam" (Briffault v3 78).
In Islam, the moon is considered holiest astronomical object, and moon is the guiding light of all Islamic rituals/festivals.

Abraham was asked by God to leave Ur of the Chaldees where the moon god Sîn was worshipped and migrate to Canaan and worship Jehovah.

Sin - His name mean't lord of knowledge and it was he who governed the passing of the months through his waxing and waning. ... The unvarying lunar cycle gave Sin a special connection with order and wisdom and with immortality. The status of Sin was so great that from 1900 BC to 900 BC his name is witness to the forging of international treaties as the guarantor of the word of kings.

Hubal
In fact, there is evidence which points to Baal being the high god worshiped by the Meccans!
"... At the time of Muhammad, the Ka'abah was OFFICIALLY DEDICATED to the god Hubal, a deity who had been imported into Arabia from the Nabateans in what is now Jordan. But the pre-eminence of the shrine as well as the common belief in Mecca seems to suggest that it may have been dedicated originally to al-Llah, the High God of the Arabs ..." (Karen Armstrong, Muhammad: A Biography of the Prophet [Harper San Francisco; ISBN: 0062508865; Reprint edition, October 1993], pp. 61-62)
"... Legend had it that Qusayy had travelled in Syria and brought the three goddesses al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat to the Hijaz and enthroned the Nabatean god Hubal in the Ka'abah ..." (Armstrong, p. 66)
Pre-Islamic Arabia also had its stone deities. They were stone statues of shapeless volcanic or meteoric stones found in the deserts and believed to have been sent by astral deities. The most prominent deities were Hubal, the male god of the Ka'ba, and the three sister goddesses al-Lat, al-Manat, and al-Uzza; Muhammad's tribe, the Quraysh, thought these three goddesses to be the daughters of Allah. Hubal was the chief god of the Ka'ba among 360 other deities. He was a man-like statue whose body was made of red precious stone and whose arms were of solid gold. (George W. Braswell, Jr., Islam Its Prophets, Peoples, Politics and Power [Broadman & Holman Publishers, Nashville, TN; July, 1996], p. 44)
Amr ibn Luhayy brought with him (to Mecca) an idol called Hubal from the land of Hit in Mesopotamia. Hubal was one of the Quraysh's greatest idols so he set it up at the well inside the Kab'a and ordered the people to worship it. Thus a man coming back from a journey would visit it and circumambulate the House before going to his family, and would shave his hair before it ... (Peters, Hajj: The Muslim Pilgrimage to Mecca and the Holy Places [Princeton University Press, NJ, 1994], pp. 24-25)
Hubal Arabic for Baal
The data also points in the direction of Hubal being the Arabic for the Hebrew Ha Baal, "the Baal." For instance, F.E. Peters’ statement above regarding Amr ibn Luhayy bringing Hubal from Mesopotamia provides evidence that the idol was a representation of Baal.
Interesting is the name HUBAL (in Arabic and Hebrew script the vowels were not noted). This shows a very suspicious connection to the Hebrew HABAAL (= the Baal). As we all know this was an idol mentioned in the Bible (Num. 25:3, Hosea 9:10, Deut. 4:3, Josh. 22:17 and Ps. 106:28-29). Where was Baal worshipped? In Moab! It was the "god of fertility". Amr ibn Luhaiy brought Hubal from Moab to Arabia.
The name 'Allah' (from 'al-Ilah' - the god or 'al-Liah' = the one worshipped) was well used in pre-Islamic times. It was rather a title than a name and, was used for a diversity of deities. As we shall see later, an idol called Hubal was addressed as Allah. Muhammad's grandfather reportedly prayed to Hubal and addressed him as Allah. The deities al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat were called "the daughters of Allah" (Surah 53:19). "Allah was viewed, already before Muhammad, as the Lord of the Ka'ba, while, if not surely, but very probably, this sanctuary was devoted to Hubal, whose image was placed inside" (RESTE ARABISCHEN HEIDENTHUMS, p. 221 by J. Wellhausen).
Inside this holy of holies are stored all manner of sacred objects and images. These are said to include an icon of the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child and a portrait of the Prophet Abraham. But the shrine is dominated by a representation of the war god Baal Hubal, who watches over the city's political destiny. At times of trouble the city elders can seek his advice by casting a quiver of divinatory arrows before idols and reading the future from the answers they give. (Rogerson, The Prophet Muhammad - A Biography [HiddenSpring, An Imprint of Pauline Press, Mahwah, NJ 2003], p. 15; underline emphasis ours)
Among the many deities that the Arabs worshiped in and around the Ka'bah were the god Hubal and the three goddesses Al-lat, al-'Uzza, and Manat. Hubal was originally a moon god, and perhaps also a rain god, as hubal means "vapor." Al-lat was perhaps a feminine form of Allah, whose name simply means the goddess...
While the Arabs professed Allah, an Arabic word meaning "the God," to be the supreme deity, they did not worship him, nor did he play an active role in their lives... (Mahmoud M. Ayoub, Islam: Faith and History [Oneworld Publications, Oxford England, 2004], p. 15; underline emphasis ours) source

"Hubal was associated with the Semitic god BA'L [Baal] and with Adonis or Tammuz" (Fabled Cities, Prices and Jinn from Arab Myths and Legends, by Khairat Al- Saleh, p.28)
Hubal is BAAL, that God condemns the worship of all over the Bible. But Baal's origins go back even further than this. He goes back to the BABYLONIAN RELIGION! The religion of Nimrod, see Genesis 10.
In his book the Two Babylon's, by Hislop, he has done a wonderful job of tracing all heathen religions back to Babylon and the Tower of Babel, see Gen 11. When the world was scattered, the people of the world kept their religion that originated with Babylon. This is how we find the Babylonian religion all over the world!
"Herodotus, world traveler and historian of antiquity, witnessed the mystery religions and its rites in numerous countries and mentions how Babylon was the PRIMEVAL SOURCE from which ALL SYSTEMS OF IDOLATRY FLOWED. Bunsen says: 'the religious system of Egypt was derived from ASIA, AND THE PRIMITIVE EMPIRE OF BABEL" (David Todd, The Origins of Easter, p.11).
Hislop says that the Babylonian god Bel and Baal, are one and the same deity: "Belus or Bel...As BAAL or Beltus with the name of the great male divinity of Babylon...Belus was UNDOUBTEDLY BAAL 'The Lord'...the worship of the 'SACRED BEL' the mighty one who died a martyr for idolatry...the regeneration of his heart [was the new birth or reincarnation of NIMROD OR BEL...we learned that it was under Bel or Belus, THAT IS BAAL" (pp.20, 25, 190-191, 232). Now notice this quote from the Encyclopedia of Religion and what is says about Allah, and really discovering the truth about who Allah is and who the Muslims today are worshipping: "Allah is a pre-Islamic name...corresponding to the BABYLONIAN BEL [Baal]" (Thomas O'Brian, 1:117). Hubal, or Allah is Baal or Nimrod the first King of Idolatry, the MUSLIMS ARE WORSHIPPING A MAN NIMROD! source

The Hilal
The Hilal is the Arabic word for the lunar crescent of the New Moon. The crescent moon is the most important symbol in the Muslim tradition because the Muslim calendar is a lunar one and it is used to determine which days muslims celebrate festivals and holy days - the beginning and end of Ramadan (the month of the fast) and the beginning of Dhu al-Hijja (the month of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca).
What does Hilal Symbolize?
The symbolism behind the Hilah is that the moon is in the act of devouring. The star is within the moon having been consumed by the moon. The horns of the moon are the jaws of its mouth. The crescent is a mouth and the hilal - regardless of whether the star or sun (in an eclipse) is entering or is within the shaded part of the moon's face - shows the moon in the act of eating.

Moon Worship Amongst Other Religions
Many ancient peoples regarded the Moon as the chief of the two luminaries. “The sun was of smaller importance than the moon in the eyes of the Babylonian astrologers.”
The Assyrians and the Chaldeans referred to the time of the Moon-god as the oldest period in the memory of the people: before other planetary gods came to dominate the world ages, the Moon was the supreme deity. Moon worship still exists today in various parts of the world, particularly among certain African and Native American groups and in India and China.
In Hindu, "Shiva" is the witness, consciousness, vibration (also called Ma/heshv/ar the remover of death) which is symbolized by the Moon of Night. Shiva adorns the chandra (moon) on His forehead.

Young people in traditional costume worship the moon
in China.
The moon is invoked to bless the female devotees with handsome, robust and intelligent offspring.
An offering of 13 mooncakes of varying sizes are piled up like a pyramid to signify a complete Chinese lunar year plus an intercalary month, making a total of 384 days-a complete cycle of happiness.
Chandra was the original Indian god of the moon who was later merged with Soma. He drove the moon chariot across the sky with ten white horses. He was also considered a fertility god, since the dew which falls on the plants overnight and gives them life was seen as coming from the moon.
Chandra was also prayed to when a couple wanted to have a child.
In India the crescent moon is always painted across the forehead of the Shiva symbol and carrying the trident.
Shiva is sometimes represented as a child at the breast of its mother, and has the same character as Moloch, or the Roman Saturn. He is also the Supreme deity of Hinduism. Shiva is also seen to be half male half female ( his consort Parvati )

The star and crescent of Islam are clearly based upon the moon goddess, Allat, and the astral goddess, Al-Uzza.
Allat and Al-Uzza figure in Sura 53 in what is called "the Satanic verses," which Muhammed initially gave, but later deleted. The moon and Venus connection to Allat and Al-Uzza are one of the most embarrassing matters for the Mullahs of Islam.
In the linage of IL, alias, Enlil, ILAH, Be`IL, Bel, Ba`al, and so on, the god always has a goddess consort, who is usually a grammatical gender alternative. Such is the case with Allat, the goddess of Arabia. She was the consort of Allah, so the ancient rule of deities follows very well. Allah was the solar deity, and Allat was the moon goddess.
In times of great stress, or pleadings, the Northern Arabs used the god-form, FHLH, which meant, "so, O Allah." THE GODDESS FORM USED JUST AS OFTEN was FHLT which meant, "so, O Allat." (Hastings, James, Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics, Scribners, NY pg. 248)
This shows that Allah was well established in North Arabia and that he had a consort, or lady friend of high esteem, named Allat. Also notice that the HLH which is Hallah was originally used. We've already seen that this name did originate from Babylon, just east of Arabia.
ILAHA was used for the sun god. This shows that ALLAH WAS THE SUN GOD FIGURE and Allat was the moon goddess. (Hastings, James, Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics, Scribners, NY pg. 248)
History, contrary to bias Islamic claims clearly shows us that Allah before Islam was no more than a heathen deity, who was never addressed by the Arabs as the God of Abraham. Allat was a Babylonian, or earth and moon goddess.
Her consort Allah was simply the god who impregnates the earth.
(Langdon, Stephen H, The Mythology of All Races, Vol V, Archeological Institute of America, Boston, 1931 pg. 5-19)
The origin of Allah and Allat were as sun and moon deities.
(Zwemmer, (Ed) The Daughters of Allah, By Winnett, F V, MWJ, Vol. XXX, 1940, pg. 120-125).
Before the name [Allah] came into Islam, it had already long been part of the pre-Islamic system, and a considerably important part, too...the pagan concept of Allah, which is purely Arabian--the case in which we see the pre-Islamic Arabs themselves talking about "Allah" as they understand the word in their own peculiar way." (Izutsu, Toshihiko, God and Man in the Koran, Tokyo, 1964, pp. 103-104)
Each Arabian tribe adopted their own form of Babylonian deity and Allah is no exception. source
A stele is dedicated to Qos-allah 'Qos is Allah' or 'Qos the god', by Qosmilk (melech - king) is found at Petra (Glueck 516). Qos is identifiable with Kaush (Qaush) the God of the older Edomites. The stele is horned and the seal from Edomite Tawilan near Petra identified with Kaush DISPLAYS A STAR AND CRESCENT (Browning 28).
Allah is also known as Qos-allah but one thing that is very interesting is the part in which the star crescent is found before Islam in Petra. This symbol was first used as symbol of a older pagan deity. Ironically this deity also had the name Allah and just like the modern version used the crescent star. Muslims who attack other religions as being pagan should really be careful since historical inscriptions are showing also that Islam did clearly descend from a pagan heritage.
